D-Day - The decisive landing by the Western Allies that essentially preserved Freedom and Democracy in the West and assisted in the collapse of Nazi Germany. If it had failed the forces of the Soviet Union would have come from the East, potentially all the way into France. Omaha Beach was the most deadly of the invasion landings, famous for the deadly struggle as humans forced their way to victory despite slaughter all around. Without this victory it is possible that the other landing beaches could have failed.
This game is based on 30 man units, each US unit representing one landing craft of infantry, tanks, engineers. The Germans represent like size units with Machine Guns. Mortars, Heavy and Light Guns, along with defensive bunkers. The US goal is to get across the beach, penetrate the sea wall, climb the cliffs and kill the Germans. The Germans want to kill everyone crossing the beach. Whoever wins changes the course of Western European history .
